2013 NYS Gatorade Softball Player of the Year

Sydney O'Hara #11 from CNS High School

Beyond proud of this young lady who will begin her career at Syracuse University in the fall! I have watched her grow so much since I began working with her when she was 9 years old. Brings tears to my eyes to see her moving onto college and beginning her D1 career as we met when I was getting ready for my career at Seton Hall University! How time flies. Good Luck Syd<3

Are your pitchers taking care of themselves the way they should?

Summer Ball is in full swing! Are your pitchers taking care of themselves the way they should?

1. Ice after every game or practice (even if they do not pitch they should ice the end of their games or practices).

2. Games are not practice! Make sure you take a day or 2 to practice during the week to work on flaws in your form! Keeping up your form protects from injury, but also keeps pitchers at their peak performance!

3. DO NOT pitch every day of the week. Softball pitching is NOT a natural motion like many people think! Softball pitchers are just able to last longer than baseball pitchers, but it does effect their body in the same way!

4. Most importantly take a rest day! Rest is just as important as practice!
